SUBLIME

Formed in Long Beach, CA in 1988 as a garage punk, sublime to the reputation grew in the mid-'90s to the back of the Cali punk explosion caused by Green Day and The Offspring, Sublime mixed if their punk rage with reggae and ska influences. The band released two albums during its first seven years, finally finding success with its self-titled third. It was the last Sublime, however, that the singer Brad Nowell died in May 1996, just two months before the release of the album.

INTERPOL
New York Interpol reminds all those who have heard of post-punk bands like Joy Division and The Chameleons correct these bands, and a few others. The roots of the band - provided that its members are considered - can be traced to a partnership between Daniel Kessler (a guitarist and singer) and another at New York University named Greg Drudy (drums). Kessler struck a friendship with another NYU student, Carlos Dengler, who had previously played guitar and felt like to get involved in music coincidentally,
REM
REM mark the point of post-punk into alternative rock. In their first single, "Radio Free Europe" was published in 1981, it generated a return of movement in the garage.American underground. While there are a number of hardcore punk groups and the United States in the early 80's, REM brought guitar pop on the subway in the dictionary. Combining ringing guitar hooks with mumbled, cryptic lyrics and the DIY aesthetic borrowed from post-punk, the band simultaneously sounded traditional and modern.
PEARL JAM
Pearl Jam rose from the ashes of Mother Love Bone, becoming the most popular American Rock & Roll Band 90s. After singer Andrew Wood overdosed on heroin in 1990, guitarist Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament assembled a new group, bringing in Mike McCready on lead guitar and record a demo with Soundgarden's Matt Cameron to battery. Thank you in the future Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons, the demo found its way for 25 years,

Sum 41

Sum 41 hit worldwide in 1996, after the radar tiny Ajax, Ontario, failed to fully contain the foursome of blathering mixture of punk-pop riffing, hip-hop poses, and toilet bowl humor. Led by guitarist / vocalist Deryck Whibley, who looked like a mash-up of Keith Flint of Prodigy and animation of the land of Calvin, the group also included guitarist / vocalist Dave Baksh, bassist Cone McCaslin and drummer Steve Jocz.

Courted by boys and incendiary goofy antics show (and excited at the prospect of promoting their own blink-182), the island has Sum 41 on the payroll in 1999. The Half Hour of Power EP followed, and Warped Tour dates a word. They returned in 2000 with the fun full length All Killer No Filler, and the singles "In Too Deep" and "Fat Lip" became the basis of both modern rock radio and Total Request Live.
